My Olympiad

Everyone must have seen the spectacular Beijing Olympic Opening and Closing ceremony. China have opened the world eye and deserved a standing ovation for making the 2008 Olympic a mind blowing event. From the architecture of the birdnest stadium, the water cube, to the performance for both the unforgettable event, they are a strong nation... a leader and I have never seen anything like it before.

Australian athletes has done us proud. In 6th place with 46 medals, 14 gold, 15 silver and 17 Bronze all together... some shined more than others especially in un-expected events.

My Olympiad for 2008 is Matthew Mitcham, the Aussie who gatecrashed China's party. Not only he won the Gold medal for 10m Diving, scored perfect 10, very cute....and openly gay. So he ticked all my score boxes. Another perfect 10!

Ex-Phobia

I am not great with my ex's... in fact I have 4 of them and none remains friends. Don't get me wrong...I don't hold grudge or hate them... I wish them good luck in finding happiness always, but just not with me. Once you're out of the picture...you simply never exist in my phonebook.

Its 2am last night, inside the ever thumping gay club, The Market. I was standing overlooking the dancefloor from the second level, while enjoying my vodka lemon lime...suddenly an image appear right in front of my eyes.... the image I had deleted 4 years ago. My Ex...Kenny.

Now if that happened 4 years back... I would be jumping in joy, hugging and kissing this retard...but last night my feeling was empty. No hatred...No revenge...Not a thing.

He walked and said Hi... smiled...asking how am I doing. I'm speechless. My mind was thinking...."What was I thinking 4 years back??... I quit my job in ASTRO (my dream job), left my family and friends in KL...moved to Melbourne...to an unfamiliar ground...spending hundreds of thousands of my parents money... why?.. to get his LOVE back?... this scrawny prick with Chinatown hairdo boy???? Its a terrible reaction I know... and looking at him standing in front of me as if he wanting to say " Hi..I'm Kenny...Lets be friends again"... It makes me sick to my stomach...

Maybe some people may forgive and forget. Some even can be best of mates...but still...not me... I gave him a cold glance, and I walked away.... No goodbyes...just a smile and "FUCK YOU" playing in my head. At least you're the one with a bad haircut mister!

Adios Amigos....

Taste of Melbourne

Yeah... Today we went up to Taste of Melbourne at The Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton. As always Hunnybear bought us the tickets. Taste is different from other food festivals that I've been to...believe me..they are heaps of them. Taste is more upmarket, people dress up, exquisite restaurateur selections like Jacques Reymond, The Stokehouse, Circa, the Prince, The Botanical, The Court House, Grossi Florentino, Longrain, The Press Club, Nobu, Fifteen and Verge are there.

We tram our way to CBD from our apartment, Mark dressed up in white jacket and tight jeans....he can barely sit with his jeans..hehe..it was funny but he insisted

"Maybe I cant walk or sit...but My God I'm Gooorrgeousss!!"

Haha... He did look very good in white, and not many can carry white wardrobe. Peter wore a very nice fluffy scarf and Hunnybear wore a very nice and smart blue Spud shirt ( Peter's design)....

The Royal Exhibition building is very grande. I love the paintings on the roof and how regal the decorations inside the building. Our 1st stop is to get coffees. Mark and Pete decided to have rose from Domaine Chandon. We started with tasting the cheese and chutneys. Moving on to chocolates and other savoury stuff.

Our favourite dish is lamb souvlaki from George Calombaris The Press Club ( he was there...as the photo of course)...We had the Beef Capanade from the CourtHouse was sensational.  However I didn't enjoyed the Beef Tataki from Nobu.

Our favourite restaurant, Three One Two also have a booth there. We had Apple Confit with Burnt Caramel Creme. A delish dessert. The Dessert Chef from Press Club served us Frozen EggWhite, Lime and Cream that has been cooked in Liquid Nitrogen... its very strange and left a tingly feeling to your tongue....

after a busy eating and tasting, we adjourned our culinary adventure to Madame Brussels, a very chic bar in Melbourne's Bourke Street. The bar is very simple and kitsch. We sat at the outdoor terrace overlooking Melbourne superb cityscape. The Bar look like Alice In Wonderland...with fake grass and hedges.

The owner of Madame Brussels was there, she is very friendly and chatty, saying hi and goodbye when we left. The bar staff are also very friendly there. Hunnybear didn't bring his sunnies...hehe.. I did the I Told You So dance as we're sitting outside in the winter sun... I borrowed him my Dita...for 5 minutes of course!!! LOL...

What can I say... Fabulous Food, Festive Friends and Fun Times.... Now lets do it again...I Love Melbourne!!!!!

Alive and Kicking

Yes uolls..I am still alive and kicking...I wanted to blog but my mind cant think of a topic...too much things happened these few weeks....so little time to write. I am nonetheless been awfully busy with work at the moment. We have launched the new Point Of Sale system at work. I have to work like normal people now... extra hard..no more goofing around.

22-07-08_2033

Well, these few weeks me and decky has been shopping a lot. Since he got his 30% pay increase last month...Almost every weekend has been spent in Chapel Street, eating and shopping simultaneously

"Congrats for your new fat paycheck! sweetie"

We bought new Vera Wang Champagne flutes from Chaddy... Funny, the old lady that works as the promoter there were extra friendly she nearly knocked down all the other expensive glassware. Pheww....lucky she didn't break anything.....

I also got myself a new Nintendo DS Lite in Crimson Red!....I am not a big gamer but this game console plays cute and funny games... plus..it will become handy when I'm travelling back home to KL in Air Asia.... 8 hours in budget airlines with no TV!!!! So I travel prepared...either more games or sleeping pills....

19-08-08_0035The last time I bought myself something extravagant is my iPhone.... Its nice but not fashionable. I need something out there...and I know what I need... DITA Sunglasses. Yeshhhh!!! I soooo wanted these wicked pair of sunnies.... I begged Adrian and Jo (they're still in States at this moment) to find me a pair as in Australia it retail at $400.00. They called Decky and told me that the price over there are the same! Bummer!!! I knew I couldn't afford $400! But then last week Decky told me he saw a warehouse sale for DITA sunnies!!!! I was ecstatic!!! At 9.45am...we already in front of the warehouse... I saw mostly womens collections...I felt cheated...then there is the sign

"If You Want Anything That Is Not On Display But In Catalogue Let Us Know"

OMG!! I asked for the Dita Cruz in Black and 14k Gold...but they dont have them... Damnit!! Then the lady took out a Targa... I tried it...love it bought it! I got it for only $240!!!...Lucky I didn't bought it from Chaddy for $400 the previous week cos the bitch wont even give me 10% discount! Haha... Lucky Me...

19-08-08_0040 19-08-08_0041

Saturday morning, we meet up with Isabella and Mark at Oriental Tea House for yumcha...Enjoying the beautiful winter sunny day.....enough shopping for now...at least. I am still eyeing that FENDI wallet from Bluefly.com for $179.00...

Shalt I Commit Another Sin???

Pro and CONS!!!

Hmmm.... now its been a week since I've used the so over-hyped iPhone... Really.. I got them more cos I'm curious about this device...so call the BEST PHONE IN THE WORLD!... Here are my findings

PRO :)

1) Its has a massive screen...streaming YouTube on a mobile phone never looked so crystal clear...

2) My Gmail on the go! Loving it how I can easily look up my mail..open PDF files and scroll thru my plane tickets on the screen.

3) Easy connected to WIFI...it automatically connects to my wifi at home once i step in my door.

4) Great pic quality for 2Mp...yeah...and I can blog it straight away!

5) Can add up applications, the possibility is endless as long as I prepare to spend some money on iTunes...

6) I have my ipod, camera, phone, calendar, gps in one handy device.

7) SMS function that looks like balloons, love it cos I can track sms from one person to another....very smart.

8) Zoom in and zoom out screen very accurately. I can zoom in almost everything..from pictures to websites...can copy a photo from web directly to the phone.

9) Maps, Safari and Geotagging works amazingly together... looking for a restaurant? just google the name, find it and then the Google Maps will pin it for you...and find u the way!

10) Software update and back up phone data really easy as it sync with iTunes almost everytime you plug in.

Now the CONS :(

1) Cant sms while walking cos its really hard to hit the correct keys...to Eddie..yes..this one cant sms while driving either!!

2) Too many tap functions..sometimes it took me awhile to work out how to key in new things..e.g budgets and stuff.

3) Keeps on saying "Network Lost" on my 3 network...needs to configure manually to go Roaming and will take ages to search for network. The signal strength is sooooo poor that its keeps on lost in space....

4) Ring volume not loud enuff, 1 small speaker only. What a shame..and since Ringtones can only be purchased via iTunes and Australian version dont have any yet, I'm stuck with the shit standard ones.

5)  Bluetooth doesn't wanna talk to anything else! can't transfer files or photos taken from the phone to anyone..Can only receive things via iTunes ( this is a big bummer for me)

6) Freezes on me twice this week...luckily we can RESTORE phone via iTunes but then have to spend 30mins transferring all the shit back to the phone. Waste of Time

7) Big...yeah..I love motorola v9 cos its slim and sexy...now I'm carrying a Flat Screen TV...oh and its glossy finish attracts fingerprints and scratches...I hate casings...and I rarely drop my phones.

8) No streaming or downloading iTunes on the go!...WTF?? Just YouTube works...I cant access Mobile TV from Planet3...the only thing I can do is check my account usage and some other limited functions. So whats the use of having 2Gb download from my plan anyway?? damnit!!!

9) cant be used as a MODEM...Means when I am back in KL..I have to bring my keycard or Nokia N95 8Gb to be used as a modem... HMm...back to Nokia.. the faithful one...

10) I have to be a Vodafone customer for 4 months!!!! Yikesssss!!!

Hmm.. thats what I can find...will update with more goss and gross abt this phone.... ciaoooo!!
