Australian

As of today...I am a half Australian...Finally the 2 years wait is over. I am a permanent resident. For uolls who thought I already am...sorry to say that I adjusted well. I first landed in Melbourne Airport on July 9th 2004 in cold winter. Means by this july it will be my 4th year in Australia.

It was Monday morning, I was getting ready for work when hunnybear pointed out the envelope sent from Dimia. I wasn’t as nervous as I expected. Opened the envelope and there it was…the most long awaited news….my permanent resident status. Allowed to stay in Australia indefinitely is what stated in my Malaysian passport.

I would take this chance to say thanks to everyone who made this possible… my gorgeous partner, Declan…J, his family that has been really wonderful and loving, my parents for being supportive and understanding, all my friends that has been remarkably kind, beautiful people. Thanks so much.

Spa Weekend

(hujan lebat pun tetap gigih nak pi spa)

What would one do when all tired and stressed out? Yes… a visit to one nearest day spa ;) If this sounds like one of the lifestyle of the fucking rich and famous…then call me Lindsay!...haha…but Hilton day spa is really not as posh as I thought. Rather simple and very gordy. Yes..its like a flashback to the 80’s with the décor and treatments.

Dec booked us to the 45mins mud bath at the Hilton in East Melbourne. Upon entrance we were greeted by 2 Vietnamese girls…I hardly understand what they were talking about but couldn’t care less… They couldn’t be have been nicer and represented Hilton in a more positive way!...haha…

( 2 kawah mandi macam periuk nasi minyak)

We went straight to the mineral spa room and saw this huge double tub filled with warm grayish colored water…. Mud I assume.

It was rather funny to sit down while the bubble jets poking your tired body. I have been to lots of spas mainly in Thailand ( not those happy ending ones ) and in Australia but never had mud bath before… It’s not as relaxing as massage but after the spa, my skin felt sooo fucking soft. I was amazed and loving it!

It was pissing down rain when we left the hotel. Went to Mark’s for champagne and went home afterwards. It is a relaxing weekend…

Thanks Hunnybear for organizing it… Love u…

Terrible...

I have been terribly busy these few days. Don’t even have enough time for relax and unwind. Freaking interviews in my phone reminder beeps every fucking second day. It’s also very unpleasant few weeks at work. Our Team A that lead by Troy and Team B lead by Pete clashing like mad....I am unwillingly stuck in the middle! Yet again....Fuck this!

"Someone has been using one's power in a wrong way...and someone nags non-endlessly"

On the other hand, I called up Jayme, our other Regional to apply for a manager role in Northland Shopping Centre store in Preston. She proves to me real ecstatic from her voice- very excited that I am joining her team instead of Rachael. "Maybe it’s my time to leave Melbourne Central with the brawl that has been going on.” That’s what I thought last week while calming Troy’s temper after his meeting with Rach.

But tonight when Pete called me and told me how disappointed he is with Troy cutting his and Sophia’s shift… I realized that I have to stay and fix this. Troy wanted to change the team with only his well liked people in it… and get rid of the others… that includes Peter, Sophia and Caroline ( Team B ) of course.

You can never win a battle without a fight… interesting to see who going to get hurt.

Grumpy Pup

Haha.. Yep someone is not very happy this morning after his warm bath... Looking at Veuve white fluffy fur turns greyish wasn't very pleasant. I decided to give him a bath.

It has been raining the whole day today. Its very cold…that’s maybe why he has been grumpy after been soaked and shampooed. After a nice relaxing spa of course… he turns white again and smells nicer. Put on a fresh blue jumper and he went straight to bed. Not talking…jumping nor looking at me. I went out to St Kilda in the arvo..went to Puppy Phat to get his new collar. Bought him a new Chill Pill toy too… I am throwing away his old crusty octopus squeaky. Now.. he is happy. Playing catch with the new pill… :)

Labels Or Love

Labels Or Love (2oo8) by Fergie
Sex and The City Motion Picture Soundtrack

Shopping for labels, shopping for love
Manolo and Louis, it’s all I’m thinking of
Shopping for labels, shopping for love
Manolo and Louis, it’s all I’m thinking of

I already know what my addiction is
I be looking for labels, I ain’t looking for love
I shop for purses while I walk out the door
Don’t cry, buy a bag and then get over it
And, I’m not concerned with all the politics (?)
It’s a lot of men I know I could find another one.

Oughta know that I’m always happy when I walk out the store, store
I’m guessing Supercalifragi-sexy, nothing to be playing with
I love him, hate him, kiss him, diss him, tryna to walk a mile in my kicks

(Chorus)
Love’s like a runway but which one do I love more
No emotional baggage, just be back still with Dior
Love’s like a runway, so what’s all the fussing for
Let’s stop chasing them boys and shop some more

I know I might come off as negative
I be looking for labels, I ain’t looking for love
Relationships are often so hard to tame
A Prada dress has never broken my heart before
And, ________
I’mma do the damn thing, watch me do the damn thing
Cause I know that my credit card will help me put out the flames
I’m guessing Supercalifragi-sexy, nothing to be playing with
I love him, hate him, kiss him, diss him, tryna to walk a mile in my kicks

[Chorus]

Gucci, Fendi, Prada purses, purchasing them finer things
Men they come a dime a dozen, just give me them diamond rings
I’m into a lot of bling, Cadallic, Chanel and Coach
Fellas boast but they can’t really handle my female approach
Buying things is hard to say
Rocking Christian Audigier, Manolo, Polo, taking photos in my Cartier
So we can’t go all the way, I know you might hate it but
I’m a shop for labels while them ladies lay and wait for love

[Chorus]

Lets Get Naked...

Uolss still remember last entry when Indian Taxi drivers protesting in half naked on Flinders St Station... On my way back from my interview today....Wallaa!! another unforgettable scene on the same spot.... this time.... PENSIONERS!!!

Haa... voley... atuk dan nenek yang topless in the middle of Melbourne! Too bad I dont have the opportunity to take their pics with SEX & THE CITY posters as a backdrop! That would be really funny huh!

Articles taken from The Age
Angry pensioners and a Family First senator have stripped off and stopped traffic on one of Melbourne's busiest intersections in a protest against a lack of support for seniors in this
week's Federal Budget.
Up to 200 elderly people stood at the corner of Swanston and Flinders Streets this morning.'John', 69, who ran off into the intersection and stripped off to his underpants, said the budget was a "slap in the face" for pensioners.
"More needs to be done," he said.Police tried to coax him away from the intersection but a swarm of other pensioners joined him before officers could stop them.Another woman stripped down to her bra and longjohns during the protest.Police then escorted the pensioners back up to the steps of Flinders Street Station after about 15 minutes.
They carried placards with messages including "Swan can swim - we are drowning", aimed at Treasurer Wayne Swan, who handed down the budget on Tuesday night. The protest, organised by Shirley Grant, 72, of Glenroy, called for a fair go for pensioners.
It's a slap in the face for all pensioners."The protesters were calling for between $70 and $100 extra per week in their pensions.

Champions Night

Occay... we had fancy dinner. Got our award presented like last year... Drink sooo much until we got drunk and disorderly... But this photo is the best memories Until next year.... Thanks for the memories!!!
( Ryan the Gladiator, Sam, SallyAnne and Me in awe )

Stunt

( Sam... yang sangat la sedapnyaa)

I woke up at 8 this morning. Tired... quite excited about our activities today. Meet up the rest of the team at the lobby around 930am. Hmm... wearing my skinny jeans and a bright bluey tee with my replay shoes..I am ready to rock and roll...

1st obstacle... Human Torch

Yes... its a scary thought... suited up with 4 layers of overalls, then drenched with petrol. One will be torched alive. You will be given 10-20 seconds on fire before your amateur lifesavers will help putting off the flame with wet blanket. Too bad within 10 people in our team...only 3 will be on fire. All the others will be the lifesavers. I opted not to get drenched in petrol up to my undies...so I put my hands up as a lifesaver instead..call me a pussy..i dont care.
2nd Obstacle - High Free Fall
( The yummy Ryan )
Yes... One have to climb the scaffolding starting from the bottom up to the highest tip!... then...Jump! we did both....front and facing the back while dropping our body to the air mattress. The feeling of free falling....amazingly good! My hands are shaking after the highest fall.

3rd Obstacles - Jumping on and off the moving car
Yes.. the car is moving... we have to jump on the car hood roll ourselves on the windscreen, then roll back to the ground. As we practice...they increase the speed of the car and this is the wildest most painful trick ever. I blame this trick for my back and neck pain.... the most difficult stunt is to jump off the moving car... then roll yourself on the ground like a true ninja!!! Hiiiayyyaaaa!!!

4th Obstacle - Swordfight...

I have no photos of this one... Cant be bothered... I partnered with SallyAnne... she left the match of death after seeing a cute puppy at the park.... well... like a true swordsman!.... I stabbed myself in disappointment.

Kingscliff...

Hollaaa... Uollss... I am back from Gold Coast today...what a fucking exhausting yet exhilarating trip... My neck, shoulder and back is in pain...it really pushed us to the boundries...

Our team depart Melbourne with Jetstar (nope..not my airline)... and reached Coolangatta airport about 6pm... Rachael, my regional manager, Troy , Hattem and myself were chauffeured to our hotel "Peppers at Casuarina Beach Resort in Kingscliff. NSW. I really thought that we gonna stay in Gold Coast but this place is 1 hour away from GC. Kingscliff is really gorgeous...new 4 star hotels and housing developments. Very touristy...and empty. After check into my room... its a very comfy bed but the room is rather small... we meet up with the rest of the group for dinner. I know most everyone there.. from Retail, Dealer Channels, Business, Call Centre and HQ are there.
Had drinks..they start talking about work..and that pisses me off. Really not interested mista... Lucky we had 2 other from Adrenalin, the company that organize our event. And there he was... the 1st time I saw Sam... the cutest boy in the venue... haha :) He is very nice, chatty and friendly.

After dinner.. We head back to the hotel room.. Hattem wanted to go out dancing. There is really nowhere to go.. plus I cant handle conversations about work any longer... rather go back to my room and watch tele....

I said goodnyte and see you tomorrow...

This Aint Gonna Be Easy...

Hmmm.. its the weekend again. I had done nothing interesting for months...just a normal blah routine of work..home..work but lately I have been quite busy busting my nuts with other arrangements...not even have any spare time to update my blogs...
1) I went to an interview with Glotel Recruitment ( a'ah uolss..1st time i heard the name...Glotel macam jenama lube aje..atau Gentel..kata eddie )...and of course..someone with no recruitment background..the interview is very tough!... the guy who interviewed me selamba kering aja buat lawak bodo..." I feel so tall meeting you today" boleh?? makes me felt smaller that I am! Bastard!!.. He asked me all the questions about the company and why I want to work with them... Honestly...I was very excited about the interview...but when I stepped into the dark, quiet, unGlowing Glotel...I have doubt that I'd be happy working there... and sure enough I did teribbly in the interview! One of the worst that I have ever been.
Got a call from James my recruiter...
James : Hi Jett, I got the feedback from yesterday...Its not a good news. Sorry but you're not shortlisted to the 2nd interview
Me : Sigh!...Okay,,I expected it. The interview wasn't very good.
James : Can I ask you if you do any research at all about Glotel? Cos according to him you have no idea about the company.
Me : Of course I did my research but he also have to know that I have no recruitment background and to bombard me with how they operate in detail and what makes them different from other company is out of the question. Mind you, he wasn't very friendly either.
James : Hmm... hope its a good input for you on how to handle tough interviews next time.
Me : Of course...( dalam hati...babi punya Glotel..cakap aku tak buat research!)..I certainly will take it on board...hope this doesnt stop you from pursuing my interest for other opportunity.
Hmm... I said goodbye and hang up. Oh well... i am dissapointed but feels allright that i didnt get the interview with Glotel... Its a dull lifeless company...really NOT ME...
After the bad news.. the phone rang again... "Hey...Jett its Paula from Dowrick Recruitment..Could I have a word with you?...."
I got another interview with Paula from Dowrick...from the company's profile...it looks great! Nice people...friendly faces....hmm...wish me luck on this one!!!! Fingers crossed!

My Bathroom Habit...

What Your Bathroom Habits Say About You

You are very independent and self-centered. You don't solve other people's problems - and you don't expect them to solve yours.

You spend a lot on clothes, and you tend to be a very dresser. However, it's hard for you to throw away trendy clothes when they go out of style.

You are a little shy and easily embarrassed. You often wonder if you are normal.

In relationships, you tend to be very romantic and demanding. You'll treat your partner like gold, but you expect a lot in return.

I say No..No..No...

Uhukkk!! Uhukkk!!!

Called in sick today.. I am not in the mood to work. Stayed at home and play Nintendo Wii and took veuvey to the park instead. I dont know but I always feel guilty when calling in sick. As if the store won’t function without me being there. I asked Troy this morning if he will be okay managing without me there... what a goose..of cos he will be all right...in fact he is the manager..not me!

Rachael, my regional manager called me yesterday and wanted to have a chat with me. I was staggered... am i in trouble?? so i sit at the back office instead and talked to her. She gave me the impression that I've done something wrong...but apparently she wanted to promote me to become a 2ic at our Chadstone store...the biggest store in Victoria.

Speechless, needless to say I am looking forward to change job. But moving to Chadstone is not something that I wanted. I want my own store as a manager… not moving to another one as an assistant manager again. Really… whats the point???

It’s a huge store yes… more responsibility yes… a payrise…its just 2k more than what I am getting now… whats the cons?

I have to commute by bus to work..and will take me an hour to get there…or I have to invest in buying myself a car… with 46k per year? I don’t think so! …I don’t want a crappy second hand Honda Jazz or Holden Barina… I want a good car.. the car I really like…I want that one!!!

STYLE.........

( my wet dreams...Honda Civic type-R..$40,000 )

or..Substance!! (what I can afford...)

( Holden Barina - $13,ooo OTR as advertised)

ATAU YANG NI JE...MAK BAYAR CASH TERUS!! CIKKK...MINTAK BUNGKUS YE..BAGI 5 BIJIK....

(Datsun 120Y Jiman - $450 je...tu pon belom tawar lagi....haa...amik! )

Hehehe… so I have to say NO… thanks for the offer… little that they know I wanted to leave pretty badly… waiting for the new job offer! Walllaaa!!!!

Me A ConSlutan....???

Yeah. Thats my new plan for this time.. Since I have no news for Account Manager's job nor Television productions...I am changing my path to Recruitment Consultant...or shall I say ConSlutTAn.... The pay might be the same with what I am earning now... but... I dont have 8 people to manage...there is no one complaining about bills, phones, customer service...etc!... No indian to sell contents.... No fucking ridiculous sales target to achieve....no working extra hours and best part....I get public holidays and weekends off! Yes!!!

Coffee chat with Simon today.. He gave me a great idea... I haven't really thought of that but my experience managing a telecommunications retail store might be a bonus for me to step sideways to a whole new world of recruiting!.... I don't think it will be that hard! Hey... I talk non-stop... I sell ice to eskimos..and penguins!.... so there goes...

Hmmm....shoot 3 application via Link Me and Seek.com just now... I applied for Tanner Menzies and 2 other companies that looking for fresh candidates. No harm trying... at least I know whether I am qualified or not.... All pumped and waiting for the answer... pretty sure I am what they looking for... A genuine ConSlutTan.....

Happy Birthday

( Jo... Me and Declan)

Happy Birthday Jo...

We got her a day spa treatment at the Hilton...fabulous.

A beautiful natives bouquet from our new favourite florist

( Maea and Adrian )

( Stuart and Eliza Jaques)

And we had a fabbo Yum Cha at Sharkfin House in Chinatown

Happy Birthday Jo...and we love you heaps!!! Wallaa!!!

Autonomy Me...

I have to.. I cant stand it... We walked pass the new shop on Chapel St... AUTONOMY... I got this new jumper for $150...hehe...I do need a new jumper and this one kinda cute too... We went to GStar earlier and I fell in love with the smart black jacket but its $250.00... a bit too much for me...

We caught up with Simon for coffee at the market cafe, love that place...the Italian boy who works there is soooo fuckin hot!... Hehe... we eye flirted the boy but clearly he is straight! After G-Star we went up to San Churros for the ever famous Chocolate Churros...we bought 3 of them with different chocolate dip flavour, White-Milk-Dark....Going to have them as our dessert for tonight dinner.

Said our farewell to Simon and we head up to the Fresh Flower Man shop on Commercial Road and bought some flowers for the house. I wanted to do something different...bored of blooms so we opted out for decorative chillis and shrubs. Mind you...I have no idea on flower arrangements... hehe.. so I just schmacked them together and came up with 4 different spots to put them... Its not as gorgeous..rearranging these fuckers are so much harder than normal flowers... I'm clearly not gifted in that department.

Wallaaaa!!!

Men Xposed

Gay Rights!!!

Gay and lesbian couples will have the same rights as heterosexuals under new Australian laws but marriage will remain off limits, Attorney General Robert McClelland said Wednesday.
McClelland announced that the Labor government would introduce legislation next month to remove same-sex discrimination from some 100 laws, including those related to health and pension entitlements, social security and tax.

The proposed national legislation, which will bring federal laws into line with those in the states and territories, will grant homosexual couples the same rights as heterosexual de facto relationships, McClelland said.

"The changes will provide for equality of treatment in a wide range of areas including superannuation, taxation, social security, workers' compensation, pharmaceutical benefits," McClelland told reporters in Canberra.

"These will make a practical difference to the lives of a group of fellow Australians who, for far too long, have suffered discrimination at a Commonwealth (federal) level."
If passed, the new laws will see gay and lesbian partners treated as couples, rather than as individuals, in assessments of their means and entitlements.

But McClelland said the laws, expected to be in force by mid-2009, did not change the government's opposition to same-sex marriage.

"These reforms won't change the Marriage Act," he said.

"We made it clear before the election that the government regards marriage as being between a man and a woman and we don't support any measures that seek to mimic that process."
Rights groups welcomed the announcement but urged the government to go further and allow same-sex unions such as are available in Britain and Canada.

Spokesman for the Australian Coalition for Equality lobby group Rodney Croome described as "deeply disappointing" the government's unwillingness to allow equality in marriage.

"While removing discrimination is extremely important, it doesn't mean full equality," he told AFP. "That will only be achieved by same-sex marriage."

The minister said the government supported a system of registration of same-sex couples, whereby partners signed a so-called "Deed of Relationship" witnessed by an official and which legally recognised the partnership.
But Croome said such a system, which has been in place in the southern island state of Tasmania for four years, was similar to a civil union.

Asked whether these signings ever included a ceremony similar to a wedding, Croome said: "Of course they do. It's a kind of wedding. It's not marriage, it's a different way of formalising your relationship.

"It seems incompatible to register same-sex de facto partners but not also allow same sex-marriages," he added.

Tensions surrounding the issue are likely to rise soon in the national capital Canberra as the government of the Australian Capital Territory has decided to push ahead with civil union laws.

"We find it very difficult to understand why it's good to remove discrimination in taxation law and superannuation law, but apparently it's not so good to say those relationships can be celebrated equally before the law," the territory's Attorney General Simon Corbell said.

Meanwhile, conservative opposition leader Brendan Nelson said he supported the proposed laws in principle, despite his Liberal Party's steadfast rejection of gay marriage, gay adoption and gay IVF.

But he urged Prime Minister Kevin Rudd to reject civil unions.

"I call on Mr Rudd to be upfront with the Australian people -- will he or will he not support or oppose civil unions?" he said.

- Hmmm...looks like the we did choose wisely on our last election... the Rudd government is slowly giving us the chance to be equal... finally Australia is fair for everyone....100 down..1 to go...not long for the bells and Ave Maria song to be played on our wedding day!

Protest....

Bila hindraf mengamuk lagi.... aiyooohh!! nyehh mak takewwtt... hahaha.....Uollss... yesterday on my way to work..the bloody tram stopped half way to work at Flinders Street Station... and the tram driver announced that we have walk from here cos of the Taxi Drivers Protest that has been going on for nearly 24 hours!

Aiyohh!! Kuat betol semangat kaum kaum hindraf ni tunjuk perasaan uollss...dari malam sampai ke pagi buta pon masih dok kat tengah jalan sambil pegang sepandok... and wait...when Melburnians think they've seen enough.... not really! These taxis drivers started to take off their shirts and protesting half naked... Nokss.. nasib lah mereka tu duduk secara berkumpulan... sama sama tak mandi dari semalaman...en then bukak bukak baju lagi... aiyohh!!!
Kerana perbuatan mereka iteww akhirnya Transport Minister, Lynne Krosky bersetuju dengan permintaan mereka itew iaitu
* Drivers win mandatory safety screens
-atas sebab sebab keselamatan apabila one of the hindraf cabbies was stabbed while driving a crazy murderous passenger in the western suburbs!
* Passengers to pre-pay cab fares from 10pm-5am*
sebab bila dorang hantar penumpang yang mabuk dari club club..depa dok cabut lari tak bayar tambang noooo!!

for me..its good that the safety screens to be installed as soon as posibble...hopefully this will also block the BO coming from most of our friendly taxi drivers...hehehe... sorry guys... but you guys do stinks! Oppssss...Larriiii nanti kena tikammm....!!!!

Kaos...

Sorry people..have been hectic at work lately... I am beginning to feel weary of the company I work for... I manage one of the many Hutchison 3G retail store in Melbourne. I have 7 others working under my supervision. Lately things hasn't been going well... Yes..our achievements in the store is tremendously good... we are one of the 2 stores nationally ( from 90 )....that hit its Aspirational Target in all 5 areas... (Voice, Data, 2nd Service, Retention, 3G Content)... but recently my team has been divided into 2 smaller team.... team A that is Troy (manager)...Hat, Josh, Mike and Marc... team B... Peter, Sophia and Caz... me and Keith are sitting on the fence! ...

Today our regional manager Rachael came in and had a meeting with Troy... clearly he's not very happy with the outcome... Hmm... I dont really know what to say. As much as this job pays the bill.. I am desperate for a new one.. maybe in Business Sales... maybe in Media... who the fucking hell knows???....
